He states that although the world has experienced untold wars, there have only been a han...。1943年秋天，东北被日本鬼子侵占了，东北抗联部队奉党中央之命参加抗日战争，二方为扩充各自的势力，都对着狼窝山上的土匪窝相互较着劲。而土匪头目许金贵带着宁做鸡头不当牛后的思想，最终在日本鬼子劝降不成而被日本军恼羞成怒地把狼窝山给毁灭了，使得从抗联部队前来的党代表赵彦、老李头也被当作“肉票”关进集中营。关进集中营的日子，鬼子的残忍变本加厉。一个大风大雨之夜，由赵彦等人策划的越狱暴动开始了，冲出层层重围的赵彦、许金贵、“马脸”、金娃、龟田等人飞奔着越过中苏边境，刚刚逃出，却又被苏军部队瓦丽娅抓住，被投进苏军监狱。不久苏联政府准备对日宣战，美国在日本的广岛、长崎投下了原子弹，日本无条件投降。赵彦终于和瓦丽娅在一起了。但由于没有《侨民证》和《国民证》又得面对新的流亡。在贫病交加和生活极端的困境中，赵彦他们在辗转流亡了十来个年头，再也无力与死神抗衡，长眠于西伯利亚的土地上。许金贵在坚持下，回到了祖国的怀抱，当他再次来到当年逃过边境的那片洼地时，山野到处盛开着烂漫的山花，而山谷里却静得听不到一丝风声。。
