Famous for being the head writer of the Howard Stern show for 15 years, and infamous for leaving that position, Jacki...。白方进（伊藤淳史 饰）出生在寺庙之中，就读于佛教圣地高野山大学，学成后，他并没有选择剃度开启寺院生涯，反而蓄起了头发，在一间书店里打工。尽管生于寺庙，长于寺庙，但白方进的内心里却十分的矛盾，面对拥有无限可能的未来，他犹豫着，迟迟无法迈出脚步。 就在此时，一场意外发生，白 方进身为住持的祖父瑞円（品川彻 饰）无法继续寺庙中的工作。就这样，白方进以此为契机正是进入寺庙，接替祖父成为了荣福寺的住持。直到当上了住持，白方进才发现，庙中的一切和自己想想之中的是如此的不同，困难和麻烦接踵而至，白方进能否坚持下去，不忘初心，完成自己的心愿呢？。
