明代故事：已故太原守备之女陈秀英与母开茶馆为生，其父留一铁弓，遗言能开弓者即以女许婚。太原总镇史须龙之子欲娶秀英，被陈母痛打而逃。陈母造之，遇史部将匡忠解劝，约回茶馆。秀英钟情于匡， 匡又能开弓，二人比武成婚。史须龙父子合谋命匡父子解钩，暗地却买通关白劫伪。匡父子因失伪发配云南。史子又去逼秀英，秀英假意允婚，将其杀死J母女同逃，投匡友王富则。不料， 富刚正来访匡，被史家丁拿获，王督抚知其冤，赦之。秀英乔扮男子， 冒富刚名，路上遇关白之女翠娥，许婚。秀英假约三事后、成礼，代掌兵权。起兵攻太原，杀史须龙报仇。王督抚令富刚出战，真假富刚交战无胜负，王又调回匡父子， 匡与秀英相见，夫妻团圆。 一名《英杰烈》、《豪杰店》。《开茶馆》一折有时单独演出，为荀慧生代表作。。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。盲女白安安为救时宴奶奶失明，又因母亲医药费被迫嫁入豪门。时宴疑她别有用心，冷眼相待，而她隐忍善良，默默承受继父勒索、情敌陷害，甚至被下药绑架。当时宴终于看清真相，她却已心死离去……。
