《我们村第二季》纪录片探访全国大江南北的八个村庄的人文风光，南至广西涠洲岛，北至内蒙古根河。每集将有不同领域的创作者：从大城市返乡养鹿的猎民、独自创业的导游、自学成才的旅行博主，他们以“新村民”的身份“体验”互联网时代的乡村生活，并与本地的村民共同探索乡村文旅发展的新可能。。乔尔·拉撒路（山姆·克拉弗林饰）的父亲乔纳森·拉撒路博士（比尔·奈伊饰）自杀身亡，他很快就被卷入了一系列谋杀悬案之中，同时他还在努力揭开父亲之死和25年前妹妹的死亡之谜。。The story follows a young Indigenous game warden who arrests an infamous poacher only to discover that the poacher knows the location of a plane carrying millions of dollars that has crashed in a frozen lake.
