故事从灾难发生后一个月左右开始。不同于国外求生的方式，国内封闭式公寓、生活小区的脱险成了主人公吉伦、迦诺、马克共同的难题。食物与饮水的消耗的导致了三人必须尽快冲出丧尸的围困。艰难的逃生使得迦诺难以持续，而对面楼宇独自逃生的马克离双方唯一求生的汽车近在咫尺。主人公吉伦必须保证已经深陷危险的同伴们至少有一个团结的方式，可信任的建立在这样的世界中是否可以如同往日?整个世界的灾难变化，人类避难所如何建立，可能面对庞大数量的丧尸群，求生与生存的关系，变得更加模糊不清。。After years on the run, the mystery man known as "Trick" is back, but not on his own terms. Trick finds himself trapped in a cage with four other hostages - all of them paralyzed from the neck down.
