故事发生在十二世纪的英格兰，年纪老迈的亨利二世国皇打算举行一次聚会去选出他的皇位继承人。他召唤了诡计多多的太太，希望聚为妻子的情人，他的三位儿子及年轻但狡猾的法国皇帝菲猎；他们无一不希望可以统领皇族。为了能争夺亨利的帝国，众人都不惜用尽一齐办法去令因国皇相信自己的演说……。A group of rogues steal a scroll granting its bearer the property of the land of Aurocastro in Apulia (south of Italy). They elect a shaggy knight, Brancaleone from Norcia, as their leader, and decide to get possession of this supposedly wealthy land. Many adventures will occurr during the journey.。
