工厂停工，张金生无处可去，他独自一人在工厂徘徊，一段古怪的声音把他引入另一个世界，那里时而漫天大雪，时而寂静荒凉，他看到了不同的自己。。A private detective helps a prostitute being assaulted, and notices that she is wearing a very unique ring. She is later found murdered and there is no trace of the ring, which turns out to be part of a cache of jewelry stolen by the Nazis during World War II and smuggled out of France after the wary by an American army colonel.
