夜深人静，先锋（Jason Trost 饰）、魅影（Sophie Merkley 饰）、利刃（Lucas Till 饰）和铁壁（Lee Valmassy 饰）这四个超级英雄从昏迷中醒来，他们全然不知道发生了什么事，也不知晓自己身处何方，而且被个人的手臂都留下了神秘针孔。不久后，身边的电视开启，他们的老对手瑞克·肖（James Remar 饰）现身。瑞克曾设定无数号称完美的犯罪计划，但无一例外都遭到这些英雄的破坏。这个恼羞成怒的恶棍决心跟四个英雄玩上一场危险游戏，他在一百多名无辜百姓身上安装了各种致命装置，药效拯救这个城市还有百姓，超能力被锁定起来的英雄们必须按照瑞克的指示完成各种任务。 为难当头，这四个关系错综复杂的英雄只能团结一心迎接挑战……。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
