In the near future, Norway is occupied by Russia on behalf of the European Union, due to the fact that the newly elected environmental friendly Norwegian government has stopped the all important oil- and gas-production in the North Sea。新星历时代，星际联盟建立“伊甸园”系统，此后，人类自出生起便能远离一切痛苦烦恼。不幸的是，八大星系中仍有1%的人口无法接入“伊甸园”，他们被放逐到第八星系，成了人们口中的“残次品”。其时，联盟上将林静恒被人陷害，颠沛流离至第八星系，与满怀教育理想的青年陆必行相识。然而，生活看似平静，却暗流汹涌。联盟倾覆，海盗横行，二人只得带领“残次品”们展开星际冒险，揭开层层谜团。。
