民间流传着只要得到南月国“大司巫”的《驭蛟录》便能养蛇成蛟，驭蛟化龙的传说。民国期间大量海外盗墓贼涌入华夏大地，他们抢夺国宝破坏文物，其中一队人发现了藏匿《驭蛟录》的地宫，决定抢先一步找到《驭蛟录》后将其藏起来。。Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially. He meets up with a small-time, but charismatic, hood Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Soon, Slocum convinces Tyler to participate in gas station robberies to get by. Later, they kidnap a wealthy man in hopes of getting a huge ransom. Things go wrong when the man is murdered by...。
