《シークレット部隊》（秘密部队）是大映电视剧公司（以下简称大映TV，原是大映公司下的子部门，1971年年底总公司因经营不善而倒闭后独立）在《ザ·ガードマン》结束后于1972年推出的26集刑侦电视连续剧，以私立侦探社调查保险欺诈案件为中心展开，基本继承了《ザ·ガードマン》的演员阵容和大致风格，播出时间也和前作相同。不久，从1973年开始，大映TV将过去以动作、惊险片为主旋律的节目路线，变更为以家庭为背景的社会型电视剧，随后便诞生了著名的“赤色系列”（80年代早期响誉中国的《血疑》便是该系列中的第二作），所以《シークレット部隊》仅仅是在这段“转形期”内发挥了缓冲剧组的作用，短短的半年播放也没有给观众留下很深的印象，所以在随后到来的日本刑侦剧“黄金时期”的冲击下，该作现在几乎已被日本大众所遗忘。 不过，可能是因为宇津井健在《血疑》中扮演的“模范父亲”大岛茂...。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。
