民国初年，广州西关陈家家道中落，只剩陈秀英、其入赘的丈夫杨振宇及服侍秀英的丫环。秀英体弱多病，稍一走动便会连咳不止，振宇是赌徒加酒徒，在外一遇不顺心事，便会对秀英及丫环拳打脚踢，丫环无法再忍，别秀英归家。 这日秀英迎来自称陈府仆人之女的梁绮华。见秀英身虚体弱，绮华表示愿留下将她照料，秀英将振宇恶习说明，绮华仍毫无犹豫，秀英感激不尽。对这位新来的丫环，振宇自没给予特殊优待，但绮华也非“善类”，某日她瞅准机会联合秀英将振宇杀害。秀英从此陷入恐慌，终被振宇的“鬼魂”吓死。她至死不知的是，绮华原是振宇的情人，而振宇与绮华亦没想到，秀英竟然“阴魂不散”。。《男人之苦》第10集，寅次郎（渥美清飾）鳥倦歸巢，返回柴又老家，卻發現家裡來了個不速之客──大學教授岡倉（米倉齊加年飾）。寅正怒著離家之際，童年知己千代（八千草薰飾）竟突然到訪。兩人由兒時趣事談起，感情突飛猛進，但原來同時間，岡倉教授亦對千代暗生情愫。初次面臨三角戀危機的寅，究竟如何進退？今集還有巨星田中絹代客串演出。 The tenth instalment in the Tora-san series. Tora-san comes back to his old home in Shibamata. His university professor Mr Okakura (Masakane Yonekura) suddenly arrives at his home which makes Tora-san so angry that he plans to leave home. However, his old friend Chiyo (Kaoru Yachigusa) comes to visit him. The two of them begins to reminisce about old times, and has developed a kind of bonding between them. At the same time, Mr Okakura has become attracted to Chiyo, which makes this the first ever love triangle for Tora-san. Superstar Kinuyo Tanaka has a special appearance in this film.。
